Happy Thanksgiving
Much like SGT Kane's Thanksgiving traditions, my family goes around the table before we start eating our Thanksgiving feast, telling what we are thankful for. I think doing this is important because it allows us to acknowledge all the things we have, and how grateful we are for them. So I compiled a list of things that I am grateful for. I would like everyone who reads this to leave a little note about what they are thankful for as well in the comments section.
I am thankful for:
-My family. Without them and their support, I would not be the person I am today.
-My fellow soldiers. Without them, this deployment would seem like an eternity. It is always nice to have them around, (like another brother).
-My health. I thank God everynight for giving me my health, strength, and talent.
-God. The one Person that has my life all planned out. I have had a good hand dealt to me, and I am thankful for that.
-My friends. Their support is greatly appreciated, and I love hearing from them.
- T-walls, Kevlar helmets, body armor, up-armored vehicles, Jersey barriers, the C-RAM. These all provide protection for us in Iraq.
That is all I can come up with off the top of my head. I want to wish all of you a happy and safe Thanksgiving, where ever you may be.

Happy Thanksgiving, Brent
First of all, know that we are all proud of you, support you and pray for your safe return. It takes special kind of person to put their life on hold and answer the call to duty and serve others(family, community, country and God).
I am thankful for all of the things already mentioned but I want to enphasize my thankfulness for the following:
For all of the people that God put on this earth for me to share my life, happiness, joy's, sorrows, good times and bad with. My wife, my three wonderful children, my parents, mary's parents, our brothers and sisters & thier families, our relatives and freinds. For health of mind, body and soul.
I am thanful for God the all mighty and that he is a good, merciful and forgiving God. That he has given me clear guidance on his will for me.
I am thankful for all of the gifts, talents and treasures that he has entrusted me to be a steward of.
I am thankful for the country that I live in. I may not beleive in all of the policies/laws that govern our country but by far is the greatest nation on earth to live in.
There are many more things that I am thankful for but since I suck at typing, I'm going to leave it at that.
May God bless you, your family & Freinds and may God bless America.
Love Dad
Happy, Blessed Thanksgiving, Brent!
This is our gratitude list for this Thanksgiving season.
We are thankful and grateful for:
The time that God has given us to be together.
The house we call home.
The intelligence to recognize each other's gifts, talents, and strengths.
These sensitive hearts of ours that care, not only for each other, but for the hurting people of the world.
The gift of love that consumes us, which is laced with respect, concern and nourishment.
The wonderful children and grandchildren God has given us.
We are also thankful for all the Soldiers, like you, and those that have made the ultimate sacrifice.
We know that we have many, many more things to be thankful for, but the list could go on and on.
We love you and are proud of you.

Babe,
How come Beans gets a comment on his Thanksgivings and I get nothing? What is the story?
Beans,
You are lucky to have such a supportive family. You should spend some time at home with them before going for 2.
Dear Brent,
My name is Paul and I work for the BBC World Service Radio.
I found your site today - great stuff. We would love to speak to you within the next four hours - please phone us.
Are you free to come on air tonight between 6pm - 7pm GMT (London time) and talk about the Iraq Study Group's findings? Questions we're asking: Is this an admission of defeat by the US? Is talking to Iran and Syria really going to help? Is asking more of the Iraqi forces realistic? What do the US forces think of the ISG?
We're particularly looking for MilBlogger reaction. We're interested in a) personal opinions and b) what the military folks around you are saying about James Baker and Lee Hamilton's findings.
We're a live discussion programme with callers dialling in from all over the world.
I sincerely hope you can spare some time for us. If any military personell wish to join you on air then we'd love to hear from them as well.
